Stress Capacity Building

Duration: 3 months

If your Tailor Annual Medical identifies the need to increase stress capacity, this program will help improve your energy levels and mental focus. It will also reduce your risk for chronic diseases that have been proven to result from chronic stress. Under the guidance of your Lifestyle Medicine Consultant, you will increase your stress capacity and resilience through nutritional, sleep hygiene, exercise and relaxation coaching.

Includes Consultations With:

  • One 60-minute initial consultation with a Lifestyle Medicine Consultant with an additional four 30-minute coaching sessions throughout the program – focusing on nutrition, exercise and stress management
  • Two 60-minute massages with a Registered Massage Therapist
  • One 60-minute session with an Executive Coach to provide coaching on coping skills and the management of more complex and difficult communication and personnel issues that regularly confront busy professionals
  • Two 60-minute personal fitness training sessions in the Tailor Medical Fitness Centre to develop a tailored fitness program and monitor techniques
  • One 60-minute consultation with a Naturopath to provide a holistic approach to medicine dependent on natural therapies to support and stimulate the body's ability to heal itself
  • 8 week MBSR Program (Mindfulness Stress Reduction Program) teaching mindful meditation and stress reduction techniques to address physical and emotional wellbeing (to be taken within one year from start of program)
  • One 60-minute one-on-one yoga session to increase the flexibility of muscles and to ultimately develop a stronger core, increase muscle endurance and improve overall mind-body balance
